SEMDA, the Southeastern Medical Device Association, announces its 8th annual conference May 7-8, 2014, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Convention Center in Atlanta (#SEMDA2014).
Following the record-breaking 2013 conference resulting in a 20% growth in attendance, triple the investor attendance and a 30% increase in presenting companies, with more nationally-recognized keynote speakers than ever before, we call on all Southeastern-based Medical Device, Medical Device Data System (MDDS) companies, individuals, members and sponsors to join in now and get involved!
"SEMDA is entering a year of transition in which we desire to be defined by growth in membership, expansion of regional reach and influence and, most importantly, value creation for the medical device industry," stated Bob Crutchfield, President of SEMDA and Partner at Harbert Venture Partners. "Our industry is facing many challenges and opportunities. With the collective experience, knowledge and capability of industry leaders, SEMDA can be the leading source of data, connectivity and vision for Medical Devices and MDDS companies in the Southeast."
Leading next year's conference is Chairperson Angela Sinton, Founder and Managing Partner of MedTech Partners, LLC, and Director of Strategic Development for SEMDA. "Having been a part of this committee for three years, I am honored to have been selected by the Board of Directors to Chair this prestigious conference," said Ms. Sinton. "Our ultimate goal is a forum that provides resources for medical device innovators to successfully navigate products from concept to commercialization through investment opportunities, strong service provider connections, exceptional educational programs--including nationally renowned speakers, and focus on SEMDA success stories from people who can speak from first-hand experience.
We want to link those necessary to get products to market and create jobs in the region while positively impacting patient quality of life everywhere."
